KARLSONKINDERGARTEN

ADAPTATION

A five-day adaptation period is applied at Karlsonas ir mažyliai kindergarten.

Each child and family is unique and responds differently to change, so before attendance begins we create a personalized integration plan to ensure a smooth new start for everyone involved.

Day One

The child, accompanied by one parent, arrives at the kindergarten at 10:00 to get acquainted with the group teachers, children, and environment.

On the first day, the child observes the environment, so it is important that parents trust the selected preschool institution and cooperate with the teachers. During this meeting, parents share all information about the child. We recommend bringing the child's favorite toy or another important item that reminds them of home.

We recommend staying at the kindergarten until 11:00.

Day Two

The child, accompanied by one parent, arrives at the kindergarten at 10:00 and more confidently observes and joins the morning circle and educational activities. We also ask parents to actively participate and join the activities.

Seeing that you feel good in the kindergarten, smile, and encourage them, your child will feel much better and will begin to trust the teachers faster, while also feeling safer in the kindergarten environment.

We recommend staying at the kindergarten until 11:30.

Day Three

The child, accompanied by one parent, arrives at the kindergarten at 10:00 and participates in morning activities together with parents, group teachers, and children. Then parents say goodbye to the child and leave them for 30 minutes under the teachers' care. This allows teachers to get to know your child better and strengthen mutual connection.

Please return to the kindergarten at 11:00 and stay together until 11:30. Encourage and praise your child for staying with the children and teachers.

Day Four

The child, accompanied by one parent, arrives at the kindergarten at 10:00. Parents stay in the group for about 15 minutes, then say goodbye and leave the child at the kindergarten, where they participate in morning educational activities and play with other children.

We recommend coming to pick up the child at 12:00.

Day Five

The child, accompanied by one parent, arrives at the kindergarten at 10:00. Parents wish the child a good day, say goodbye, and leave the child until nap time, i.e. until 13:00.

We would like to remind you:

  • During adaptation at the kindergarten, we kindly ask that only one parent/guardian participates; we recommend that this is the family member with whom the child says goodbye more smoothly;
  • If the child will be accompanied by other persons during adaptation (grandparents, nanny, etc.), please inform the group teachers in advance;
  • If after leaving your child at the kindergarten you feel anxious and keep wondering how they are doing, you can confidently call the group teachers and ask.
